MeredithI started with Enhesa in September 2016 as a Sales Executive in our Washington D.C. office. At the time, this included account management; as we’ve grown this part of our team, I now focus on bringing in new business in North America. In my current role as Sales Executive, I work closely with a lot of different teams within Enhesa to ensure our clients are well informed about our services and know they’re in good hands once they become a client. 

Education and Credentials:

I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from John Carroll University in Cleveland Ohio, where I majored in both Marketing and Logistics. While I’ve always worked in client-facing roles, my prior sales experience is actually in importing/exporting goods to/from the U.S. by sea.

What are your hobbies?

I really enjoy reading and running… one transports me into another world while the other helps clear my mind.

When did you know you wanted to be in Sales?

While I haven’t always known that I wanted to be in sales, I feel like I’ve always known that I wanted a client-facing role. I grew up in a large family with many relatives in sales roles, but I wasn’t sure that was the immediate direction I wanted to take. I started off in a Customer Service position, really enjoyed the relationships that were built with clients, and branched out to give the sales role a try and here I am today.

What attracted you to being involved in promoting Enhesa’s Environment, Health & Safety related solutions?

To be honest, the EHS world was new to me when I joined Enhesa! I’m becoming interested in all the discussion about plastics and reducing your individual footprint one step at a time. I’m taking small steps to individually reduce my footprint, however I feel unqualified to talk about EHS issues as I’m not well-versed like all of our super smart analysts!

What is your favorite aspect of working at Enhesa?

My favorite part about Enhesa are the people I get to work with every day. There is a lot of diversity in our office and organization; my colleagues come from all over the world. Learning everyone’s story and where they come from is fascinating— not to mention that everyone is quite friendly.

What does your day-to-day role entail?

My typical day (or week) is quite full. I work from our D.C. office, so a lot of what I do is web-based. I am regularly meeting (via web) with new potential clients, sharing demos of our content – within our own tools and facilitating our partners’ software systems, communicating with our team internally to discuss new and open opportunities, working on RFPs, and following up with clients. I also travel a couple times a year representing Enhesa at industry conferences.

What does enhesa's typical client profile look like? 

The typical Enhesa client is a multinational organization looking to centralize their global EHS compliance assurance program. We work with clients in a wide variety of industries, from automotive to aerospace to financial and beyond. Some clients have manufacturing sites throughout the globe and others have a single office. The biggest unifying factor is that these organizations are looking for a centralized way to ensure their sites know and understand their regulatory obligations.

Who do you work with most closely at Enhesa?

While I do feel that in my role I’m regularly working with and reaching out to everyone within the organization, there are a few teams I work with daily. The first being our North American Sales team; this consists of myself, our Chief of Sales, and our Business Development Associate. We’re in constant communication about what’s on our plates and strategies moving forward. I also work closely with our Expert Support Services and Client Services teams during the sales process and both of whom play a big role once a new client is signed on.

What’s the LARGEST NUMBER OF jurisdictions you'VE CLOSED IN A SINGLE DEAL?

We just recently closed with a new multinational client who subscribed to our content for 73 countries! In addition to those countries, they purchased content for an additional 30 states/provinces within some of those countries. Even further, we’re expanding our catalog content into five countries that we previously hadn’t covered for this particular client.
